The National Arboretum is an outdoor museum where you can have a look at different trees and flowers. The facility was opened by the Agricultural Research Service almost eighty years ago. You can plan a visit to the place as there are meadow-like grassy areas where your family can sit and relax. The cherry blossoms are the highlight of the place, so the best time to have a look at them is in early May. You can buy food for the goldfish in the pond and if you will be on foot, you will be able to visit the Aquatic Garden, the Koi Pond, the National Herb Garden, the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum, and the Friendship Garden.
