Iowa State Fair occurs in Des Moines, IA is famous for displaying their life-size butter cow. The cow is made out of 600 pounds of pure butter! Now, that is something only the Iowans can do.

The tradition, which began in 1911, awards the honor to sculpt the cow to a local sculptor. Once you have taken in the breath-taking sight, you can go on to eat a wide of variety of popular dishes served in the state.

Each year, they introduce a new item. Be on the lookout for fried peanut butter and jelly on a stick and apple pie on a stick this year.
